Ego

Why is it that in a relationship, you end up taking your partner for granted in one way or another?

Why is it only when that certain someone leaves you that you'll ever do anything?

Why does realization come too late, and efforts are well, even later?

Do bad things have to happen first before we actually try to make a move?

Do we have to be left all alone for us to realize our partner's worth?

Now it got me thinking..
When we break apart from our special someone and we try our best to get them back, is it really our hearts telling us not to let go of them, or just our badly hurt ego?
